Description:
The Protection against Unfair Competition Act acknowledges that “misleading the public may arise out of an advertisement or promotion” (section 7) and recognizes such as a form of unfair competition (section 4). The Act considers that the public may be misled by advertisements and promotions with respect to the quality, quantity or other characteristics of products or services, among other factors (section 7).
