Description:
The Public Health Act (Chapter 242) brings some general definitions including those on adults and children. On one hand, “adult means a person of eighteen years of age or over”. On the other, “child means a person under eighteen years of age” in Kenya legal framework.
In addition to that, it states provisions on food, which can be considered for FULL purposes. Under Part XI, this law establishes:
- the sale of unwholesome food (Article 131);
- the seizure of unwholesome food (Article 132);
- the penality regarding unwholesome food (Article 133);
- rules on protection of food (Article 134);
- orders for protection of food (Article 135).
